Randy Beggs has approximately 34 years in the Car haul industry. He is currently the President & CEO of Proficient Auto Transport, Inc. Before being named President & CEO in 2018, Randy began his tenure with Proficient as COO. Randy also serves as a Consultant to Industry Leaders as well as an Industry Legal Consultant for high profile Car Haul related cases.
Prior to joining Proficient. Randy served as the Executive Vice President of Diversified Automotive in Boston, MA. Before working for Diversified, Randy spent 24 years at Jack Cooper Transport where he began his career in Transportation as a Yard Supervisor in 1988. He spent his career with Jack Cooper working his way up from an entry level supervisor role to Senior VP of Operations and Marketing. Randy is one of very few, if not the only executive in the Car Haul business whose breadth of experience includes truck away, railheads, plants, ports, rail loading/unloading, storage, yard management, accessorizing, import/export, cross border operations, brokering, and sales and marketing. Randy also has physically loaded and unloaded all equipment types which gives him a unique understanding and perspective. It’s this expansive degree of experience in our industry that drives Randy’s ability to lead and facilitate Organizational change.
Randy currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with his wife, Lisa, of 34 years. They have 2 children; Kaitlyn, 28 an assistant director at a large Marketing firm in Chicago; and Randy Jr, 26 a captain in the Marines.

In October 2007, Lieutenant Colonel Darling retired from the United States Marine Corps with just over twenty years of active duty service. He flew attack helicopters in Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the first Gulf War and in Somalia, Africa, in support of Operation Restore Hope. In June 1998, he was selected to fly as a presidential pilot with Marine Helicopter Squadron One and in October 2000, he was handpicked to work for the White House Military Office, Airlift Operations Department. It was in that capacity that Lt. Col. Darling supported the President, Vice President and National Security Advisor in the President's Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) on September 11, 2001. In May 2002, he attended the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned his MBA in Financial Management and subsequently served as a Program Manager for the Chief of Naval Operations supporting the Department of the Navy Flying Hour Program. As a public speaker on crisis leadership and decision making, Bob has addressed numerous academic, government, and military organizations to include Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and as a guest lecturer on the subject of Crisis Leadership and Counter-terrorism at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Bob is the author of “24 Hours Inside the President’s Bunker, 9/11/01: The White House and the President and CEO of Turning Point Crisis Management-USA, a crisis leadership, decision making, and training company located in Stafford, Virginia.

Since 1988, Harold has successfully handled all aspects of litigation claims primarily in the area of general liability. He regularly defends transportation related claims, insurance fraud claims, SIU matters, construction, premises liability, motor vehicle, coverage claims, municipal, civil rights and construction related matters. He also serves as the Casualty Supervisor and Managing Attorney of the Westchester office. In this capacity, he oversees the day-to-day operations for the entire office and team of attorneys ensuring that client matters are handled promptly, professionally and effectively.
Throughout his career, Harold has focused his practice in the area of trucking and transportation representing specifically buses and paratransit transportation companies in complex and general coverage litigation. As Co-Chair of the Trucking & Transportation Practice Group, he handles all types of personal injury, fatalities arising out of transportation claims, property damage as well as product liability claims.
Additionally, Harold concentrates a portion of his practice in the area of SIU/ fraud investigation, primarily dealing with evaluating both medical provider fraud and fraudulent claims on the part of clients' insureds. He also has experience dealing with insurance coverage disputes, representing numerous insurance carriers across several states for the purposes of SIU investigation, bad faith litigation and general defense litigation. Transportation contracting is an area where Rob concentrates on reviewing and drafting shipping contracts and tariffs. He has defended brokers in negligent selection cases and is on the forefront of arguments related to federal preemption. Broker liability cases are not unfamiliar territory. Rob has handled some of the most serious and noteworthy broker liability cases in the country.
One of Rob's assets is his ability to advise trucking companies on proactively assessing and addressing risk, both internally and externally, as well as planning for growth and development.
Independent contractors can be a troublesome area for motor carriers. Rob works with motor carriers to manage contractual relations and negotiate the Federal Regulations and decisions.
After law school, Rob clerked for Judge Joseph F. Anderson Jr. on the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Thomas Ogrodowski entered the industry by joining Ryder’s Automotive Carrier Division, which was North America’s largest and most diverse automotive transportation and logistics company in 1985. Since that time, Tom’s held senior level management positions in Finance, Operations and Sales. From these diverse vantage points, Tom’s developed a robust level of knowledge and experience of the transportation supply chains for both the finished vehicle and secondary markets throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Prior to joining the automotive transportation and logistics industry, Tom held positions in public accounting, as well as in manufacturing with a tier two automotive supplier and with a software developer specializing in training and accounting software.

Benjamin then transitioned from the inbound side of manufacturing to the outbound side and has been there for nearly four years. For the last nearly four years, Benjamin has become Ford’s subject-matter-expert on all matters pertaining to carhaul conveyance along with other modes of vehicle shipping. Focused on improving quality, modernizing the business, and improving the end customers experience, there are always many projects and initiatives to keep him busy. Harold joined J&M Tank Lines in 1976. He has over 40 years’ experience in the industry. When joining, the company had 114 company trucks and basically hauled cement in Georgia and Alabama. The company grew to 500 trucks, and had expanded into refrigerated vans and flatbeds. In 2002, Harold was named CEO and decided to spin off any businesses that were not related to tanks. Currently, at 415 tractors and 720 tankers, the company is involved in transportation of both dry and liquid products. J&M currently has 552 employees and 11 terminals. Its corporate office is in Birmingham Alabama.
Harold is currently the Chairman of American Trucking Associations, the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. Through a federation of 50 affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils, ATA is the voice of the industry America depends on most to move our nation’s freight.
Throughout Harold’s work career he has been involved in various industry associations. He has always felt the need to give back to the industry that has been so good to him and his family. They are long time members of the American Trucking Association, the National Tank Truck Carriers, the Georgia Motor Trucking Association, the Alabama Trucking Association, the American Transportation Research Institute, and the Truckload Carriers Association. He is a past Chairman of the National Tank Truck Carriers and The Georgia Motor Trucking Association.
Harold received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Shannon, have five daughters and six grandchildren. He is an avid upland hunter and off-shore fisherman.
